After finishing her undergraduate degree, Raquia Denson knew she wanted to pursue a career that would enable her to help others. After overcoming her own childhood "dental phobia," she decided to become a family dentist—and help patients who might not otherwise get the care they need. With her UI degree in dentistry, she plans to work in a public health facility that serves underprivileged families. Gifts from alumni and friends helped Raquia receive a world-class UI dentistry education—so that she can go on to help others.
